Chief Finance Officer

About the Role

  • Formulating strategies and developing key business metrics that will work closely with CEO and wider group, in partnership with the executive leadership team to propel the organization forward through a combination of financial, business and digital acumen, while delivering on the core mandate to provide sound financial reporting.
  • Responsible for management of all aspects of financial/ accounting functions inclusive of financial planning, formulation of budgets, budgetary controls, monthly consolidated financial statement, treasury management, loan, financing and tax planning for the company etc.
  • Oversee cash flow projections of the company to control payment and collection schedule to achieve efficiency in cash management.
  • To ensure that all financial and accounting reports are in compliance with the approved accounting standards in Malaysia applicable to the Company.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including audit, tax matters and any other corporate governance.
  • Responsible to source for project funding, evaluate and apply for financing and loan instruments.
  • To manage and review audited accounts and to ensure all audit findings points are promptly resolved.
  • To provide leadership and direction to the Finance team in the course of discharging the duties and responsibilities.
  • Tracking of KPIs to ensure that company and business targets are met and keeping line management informed of progress KPIs so that prompt and appropriate actions can be taken to improve performance where necessary.
  • Growth stage experience is critical: experience in balancing the needs of a dynamic, hyper-growth company with the overarching requirements of financial discipline.

About You

  • A recognised Accounting/Finance Degree/relevant certification (e.g. CPA/chartered account equivalent is required)
  • Proven work experience as a Head of Finance, Director of Finance or similar role
  • In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation and bookkeeping
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management
  • Experience in completing IPO’s, M&A’s, Capital Financing and Fund Raising is a plus
  • A natural leader who displays integrity, humility and responsibility, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both within and across business unit
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
